Skill sponsorship: from launch to acceleration. How to transform the test?

Skills sponsorship has become an essential subject for digital service companies (DSCs) and digital agencies in search of meaning and impact. But embarking on this process or scaling up can be complex. During the last Good Morning Impact (GMI), experts shared their experience and tips for making this adventure a success.

Why does skills sponsorship deserve your attention?

As you already know, at Share it, we campaign for the greatest number of companies to engage in skills sponsorship. And for good reason: it is a powerful tool for stimulating employee engagement, strengthening corporate culture and, of course, contributing positively to society. All without affecting your financial results.

“Skill sponsorship gives teams a new perspective,” testifies Florent Morel from KLEE. “This allowed us to rethink our approach to projects, to discover no-code tools that, in our context, have proven to be extremely effective.”

Overcoming obstacles: the example of KLEE

For KLEE, one of the main challenges was convincing management of the benefits of skills sponsorship. “It was not just about doing philanthropy, but about integrating it into the company's overall strategy,” explains Florent. Management, initially hesitant, was finally convinced by the fiscal advantages and the positive effects for employees.

Florent's advice? Involve financial, HR, and communication departments from the start. “Everyone must feel concerned and see the value of this type of initiative. It is by structuring an overall vision that we manage to involve everyone.”

OCTO: how to move from a one-off project to a sustainable strategy

At OCTO Technology, skills sponsorship has gradually developed. “It all started informally, with a few projects here and there,” tells Charlotte Abdelnour from OCTO. “But very quickly, we saw the importance of structuring our approach to go further.”

With the help of Share it, OCTO was able to set up more ambitious projects, such as the one carried out with CNAPE, where OCTO took charge of the project from A to Z. “This type of project allowed us not only to keep our consultants active, but also to demonstrate the concrete impact we can have.”

The keys to success according to OCTO? Do not be afraid to test and adjust, involve employees from the start, and form junior/senior pairs to ensure the continuity of projects. “It's a lifelong learning process, but the benefits for the company and employees are enormous,” confides Charlotte.

Neoxia: towards a total integration of skills sponsorship

Neoxia decided to go even further by fully integrating skills sponsorship into its operations. “Today, there is no longer a distinction between a mission for a client and a mission to sponsor skills” explains Virginie Fournier from Neoxia.

However Virginie highlights a major challenge: balancing the right balance between skills sponsorship and client projects. “The hardest part is finding the right cursor. Skill sponsorship offers many advantages, but it is essential to remain flexible depending on the periods, whether they are quieter or more intense on the client side.”

In conclusion: get started!

Skills sponsorship is a unique opportunity for companies to combine economic performance and social impact. The testimonies of KLEE, OCTO, and Neoxia show that with a structured approach and a strong commitment, the benefits are multiple.
